Meet Bistro Springhouse

Bistro Springhouse

Bistro Springhouse offers hands-on, mobile culinary workshops designed to bring people together.

Workshops are relaxed, interactive, and approachable—perfect for beginners, families, and groups. Whether it’s a private event, team-building experience, or community gathering, I bring everything needed to guide you through a simple, engaging cooking experience.

Each workshop focuses on foundational techniques using fresh, seasonal ingredients—giving you the confidence to recreate what you’ve learned at home.

Rooted in seasonality and reducing food waste, Bistro Springhouse is about making the most of simple ingredients and understanding how small changes can transform flavor.

At its core, it’s about more than cooking. It’s about slowing down, connecting with others, and creating something meaningful with your hands.

Kristine Jones, Founder

Hi, I’m Kristine Jones—a Glenside local, graphic designer by trade, and someone who genuinely loves being in the kitchen.

Cooking has always been my creative outlet. I’m drawn to the process—figuring things out by feel, experimenting with flavors, and noticing how small changes can completely shift a dish.

I’m especially interested in what I think of as a “taste journey”—how ingredients come together, how flavors build, and how a familiar dish can become something new with just a few thoughtful adjustments.

Over time, that curiosity turned into sharing what I’ve learned with others. Not in a formal, chef-driven way, but in a way that feels approachable, honest, and real.

When I’m not working or teaching, you’ll usually find me at a farmers market, talking with vendors, finding inspiration in what’s in season, or thinking about how to use ingredients more fully and reduce waste.

I believe cooking doesn’t have to be complicated to be meaningful—it just has to be something you’re willing to explore.

Let's make something together.
